Principal's Message

July 2023

Scottsville Families,

It's been the best start imaginable as your new principal getting to know some students, staff, and work on our magnificent campus! I've enjoyed the warm welcome, getting to know children at summer school, and meeting families and staff here at school or in town.

I plan to continue the positive, collaborative momentum started last year with Art Stow and Christa Livermon. I will continue to learn everything I can about this great school community, students and staff. To this end I've set up some opportunities for us to "Meet & Greet"

Please know my office door, phone (434 286 - 2441) and email are always open to you. I'm around the rest of the summer and available to get to know you! We will have a "Popsicle with the Principals" on August 8 and Open House will be August 21.

Feel free to call and setup a time to visit -- either here at school, at your home, or in the community.

Throughout the summer and first quarter, I will mostly be listening so that we can, together, build upon what is working for our school and decide together on our next steps for continued improvement.

Please keep your eyes and ears open to opportunities to work with us, to wrap our arms around this wonderful school and its incredible children. It is my plan to send weekly updates of happenings at Scottsville Elementary on Tuesdays once school starts. When I have updates before school starts in August, it will be sent on Tuesdays.
